Assembly Member Scott Wilk Visits Valencia KinderCare

Santa Clarita – Assemblyman Scott Wilk issued the following statement today after visiting KinderCare of Valencia, which is located in the 38th Assembly District. KinderCare is the largest private provider of early care and education in the nation and they offer a curriculum which is continually updated for children from infants to school age children. Research has shown that children do their most important learning before they turn five.

“Thank you to Assemblyman Wilk for visiting and seeing what we do here at KinderCare.  It still amazes me how much our work academically impacts our students' future. Students come here at such a young age and leave beyond ready for Kindergarten,” said KinderCare of Valencia Director Tina Torp.

Assemblyman Wilk read The Penguin who Wanted to be Different; A Christmas Wish to a group of 3 and 4-year-old students and was treated to a performance of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer from their holiday concert which takes place this evening.

“I was happy to tour KinderCare Valencia and read to them this morning. It was great to see first-hand the remarkable work they do. Meeting with the amazing staff and students only reaffirms my belief that early childhood education is critical to creating and supporting our children's future,” Wilk said.

The KinderCare early learning centers are one of four brands operated by Knowledge Universe and are located throughout the country. They serve approximately 19,000 children per day in California.
