Assemblyman Scott Wilk Issues Statement Regarding Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day

SACRAMENTO – Assemblyman Scott Wilk, R-Santa Clarita, today issued the following statement upon the occasion of Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, which honors those service members injured or lost in the attack on military forces stationed at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on December 7, 1941:

“Each year, we pause to remember December 7th as a day that forever changed the history of our country and the entire world.  It is a quiet and lasting tribute to the thousands of Americans who were wounded or lost their lives that terrible morning in Hawaii, reminding us that the freedoms we enjoy in the United States often come at a great cost.

“As we recognize this somber date, I join with my family in reflecting not only on the sacrifice of those lost or injured at Pearl Harbor, but also on the commitment of all military veterans who have served our great nation at home and abroad.  Our gratitude for our veterans is beyond measure and we are so inspired by their example of courage and dedication.”
