Hesperia - Senator Scott Wilk, R-Antelope Valley, today recognized John and Devynn Thompson, the owners of Thompson Family Plumbing and Rooter as April’s Small Business of the Month.
Each month Wilk selects a local business that offers outstanding service and has an exemplary commitment to the community. This month the honor goes to Hesperia’s Thompson Family Plumbing and Rooter. Two out of three Californians are employed by a small business. Almost 97 percent of all businesses in California have 49 or fewer employees.
“Small businesses, like Thompson Family Plumbing & Rooter, are what drive California’s economy. It is a pleasure to be here today and say ‘great job’ to John and Devynn,” said Wilk. “The Thompsons have undoubtedly worked hard the last four years to build their business, but what stands out to me is they have never forgotten the importance of being part of a larger community.”
Thompson Family Plumbing & Rooter is family owned and operated. The business gives discounts to seniors, law enforcement, firefighters and the military. In addition, the Thompsons are an integral part of the Hesperia area business community.
Besides treating their customers and employees well, the Thompsons go above and beyond in supporting and encouraging the entire business community in Hesperia and the surrounding communities. Hardly a charity event goes by without their participation. Each of the four years they have been in business Thompson Family Plumbing & Rooter has been voted “Best of the Desert” in the Daily Press People’s Choice contest.
