SACRAMENTO – Senator Scott Wilk, representing the 21st Senate District, joined community members, local businesses, customers, family and friends to honor Chris and Kathi Hoeflich owners of Pet Supply Santa Clarita. Wilk recognized Pet Supply as his 21st Senate District Small Business of the Month for February.

“AV and Simi V Wilk are very familiar with the wonders of Pet Supply Santa Clarita. My two dogs have a nose for a good business and this is no exception. For over two decades now, Chris and Kathi have been doing great work to help animals find homes, stay healthy and happy. I am very glad to call attention to the good work they do and honor them today as my Small Business of the Month.”

Pet Supply Santa Clarita has been in business over twenty-five years. The family owned and operated business seeks to create legendary service for their guests – both the two legged and the four legged.

Not only does it carry a great selection of high-end, quality pet foods, it is well known in the Santa Clarita Valley for its outstanding customer service, community dedication and commitment to ensuring adopted animals find loving homes. The store, a frequent sponsor of animal adoptions, regularly donates gift cards and other supplies to charity for every pet adopted.

Small business is still the backbone of California’s economy. There are currently 3.7 million small businesses in California, making up 99.45% of businesses in the state. These businesses collectively employ 6.7 million Californians, or 49.6% of California’s workers.

“Congratulations to Chris, Kathi and the entire Pet Supply for their commitment to the Santa Clarita Valley. My dogs, AV and Simi V, love ‘shopping’ in the boxes of treats near the door,” said Wilk, “but it is the community as a whole that benefits from their generosity.”
