Wilk to be inducted in AV High School Alumni Association's Hall of Fame

Sacramento – Senator Scott Wilk, R- Antelope Valley, today announces that he is one of the 2017 inductees into the Antelope Valley High School Alumni Hall of Fame.  The ceremony will be held September 22 at 5 p.m. on the AVHS campus.

“When I walk onto the red carpet of the Senate floor to cast votes, I’m there not to support a party, but to vote to improve the lives of my constituents.  Growing up in the Antelope Valley and attending AV High helped shape my world view and values which has made me a better legislator, stated Wilk.

“Being born and raised in the AV, this is a tremendous honor.  I’m humbled to be listed with the other distinguished people in this class, as well as those that have gone before us,” said Wilk.  “Just last weekend my class held its 40th reunion, and it came as no surprise to me that AV turns out some pretty amazing people.  I am looking forward to the ceremony in September.  Go Lopes!”

According to a letter from Principal Jodie Radford, inductees are selected based on the positive impact they have made on the community as well as being a model for current and future AVHS students.
