LANCASTER - Today, Senator Scott Wilk, representing the 21st Senate District, recognized Antelope Ambulance as the July Small Business of the Month. Founders Andy Wilson and Doug Cain accepted the award at an event attended by a number of local business owners and customers.

“I am so thankful to Antelope Ambulance for their constant work to keep our community safe and healthy,” said Senator Wilk. “After their many years of dedicated service to the Antelope Valley, it’s the least we can do to honor them today.”

Antelope Ambulance was founded in 1998 by Andy Wilson and Doug Cain. Both have made a point to remain highly involved in the community: Cain is on the Board of the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce as well as the Antelope Valley Hospital Foundation, and Wilson is a Director of the Antelope Valley Sheriff’s Boosters and a past Director of the Los Angeles County Ambulance Association.

Antelope Ambulance participates in several regular events including the Antelope Valley Fair, the Los Angeles County Air Show, the Quartz Hill Almond Blossom Festival, the Lancaster Chamber Flea Market, and the High Desert Medical Group Annual Senior Expo. Wilson and Cain have made their mission not just to provide quick emergency medical response, but also to serve and give back to the Antelope Valley community.

“Congratulations to everyone at Antelope Ambulance,” said Wilk. “You have truly made a difference in the community and in so many peoples’ lives.”
