Wilk honors Bravery Brewing as the March, 2017 Small Business of the Month

Lancaster – Senator Scott Wilk, R-Antelope Valley, recognized Bravery Brewing as the 21st Senate District’s March, 2017 Small Business of the Month. Brewery founder and co-owner Bart Avery was presented with the award Friday afternoon at the brewery.

“It is my pleasure to honor the folks at Bravery Brewing.  They have ‘lived their life with bravery’ working hard to build a fabulous brand that incorporates great beer and community service.  Standing in front of the Bravery Brewing’s Wall of Bravery seems like a fitting way to honor a small business that has done so much for our troops,” said Wilk. “Not only is the business a success story, Bart Avery has made it a point to support those who serve in both the military and law enforcement.”

Bravery Brewing Company opened its doors in 2011 as a small, independently owned craft brewery focusing on creating great recipes – which clearly paid off as their catalogue of beers spans from highly traditional to the unique and unusual.

A large American Flag was painted on one of the tasting room walls as a show of respect to the military. The community began sending in personal photos of friends, neighbors and loved ones serving our nation. That “Wall of Bravery” now includes hundreds of photos.

"Speaking on behalf of all the owners at Bravery Brewing Company, we are honored and thrilled to receive this special recognition from Senator Wilk," added Bart Avery.

“Congratulations to Bravery Brewing on your contributions to our community and our nation,” concluded Wilk.
