Wilk Releases Statement on Death of Ventura County Firefighter

SANTA CLARITA - Today, Assemblyman Scott Wilk, R-Santa Clarita, released the following statement regarding the death of Ventura County Firefighter Ryan Osler:

“I am saddened at the loss of one of our local firefighters. My prayers are with Ryan, his wife and their two children. Our state's brave men and women risk their lives each and every day to keep us safe from fires, yet it is always awful to hear of incidents in the field. I send my deepest condolences to Ryan's family and friends.”

Osler, of Santa Clarita, CA, died while responding to the Canyon Fire on Vandenberg Air Force Base.

By order of the governor, the Capitol's flags will fly at half-staff in Osler's honor.

The 38th Assembly District encompasses Simi Valley, the northwestern section of the San Fernando Valley and most of the Santa Clarita Valley.
