Assembly Member Wilk Named To Assembly Republican Leadership Team

SACRAMENTO – Assembly Member Scott Wilk, R-Santa Clarita, today announced he has been appointed by Assembly Republican Leader Connie Conway, to serve as a member of the Assembly Republican leadership team for the 2013-14 Legislative Session.

“It is a huge honor to be selected to serve on the leadership team,” said Wilk, “My goal is to serve my constituents and this appointment allows me to do just that to the fullest of my ability here in the Capitol,” Wilk concluded.

As a member of the Assembly Republican leadership team, Assembly Member Wilk works with the Republican Leader to help devise and promote Republican legislative strategy and achieve Caucus political goals.  Members of the Caucus leadership team also play an important role in communicating Republican Caucus priorities to the news media, Republican groups and third party organizations throughout the state.

“Despite being in Sacramento for just a few short months, Scott Wilk has already earned a reputation as one of the Legislature's hardest-working members – working across party lines to get things done for his constituents,” said Assembly Republican Leader Connie Conway, of Tulare.  “I am pleased to have Scott as part of my leadership team and look forward to benefitting from his energy and passion as we work to advance our fiscally-responsible Republican ideas in the State Assembly.”
