Senator Scott Wilk selects Bounce Realty as Small Business of the Month

SACRAMENTO – Senator Scott Wilk, R-Antelope Valley, recognized Apple Valley’s Bounce Realty as the November 21st Senate District’s Small Business of the Month. Senator Wilk presented Bounce Realty owners Richard Bounce and his wife Jackie with a Senate certificate recognizing the honor at a reception. Employees, brokers, clients and other members of the local business community were on hand to join in the festivities.

Each month Wilk selects a local business that offers outstanding service and has an exemplary commitment to the community. This month the honor goes to Bounce Realty in Apple Valley.

“Richard and Jackie Bounce took a chance in 2009 going out on their own to open Bounce Realty. Fast forward to today and we see that their small endeavor has grown to include 21 agents,” said Wilk. “Like so many entrepreneurs, Richard and Jackie are passionate about their community as well as their business which is why they were selected to receive this recognition.”

Small businesses, such as Bounce Realty, are the economic drivers of California’s economy. In fact, two out of three Californians are employed by a small business and almost 97 percent of all businesses in California have 49 or fewer employees.

“Small businesses are the folks that sponsor little league teams, participate in local charities and care deeply about their community. The Bounces exemplify this spirit. Whether it is donating 10 percent of their commissions to non-profits or supporting cancer awareness and recovery efforts, Richard and Jackie do their best to nurture, grow, and develop our community,” concluded Wilk. “It is an honor and a pleasure to recognize their good work.”

In 2004 Richard gave up his career in the newspaper business for one in real estate. After a few years working for nationally known companies, he and Jackie opened Bounce Realty in 2009.  Richard donates 10 percent of his commission to a non-profit organization. He is well known in the Victor Valley for his philanthropic efforts as well as his interest in supporting others in their efforts to provide for charitable causes.

“Surrounded here today by the community that means so much to us is quite an honor. Thank you to Senator Wilk for recognizing our company and my many associates that work hard to give back to the Victor Valley,” said Richard Bounce. “Helping others achieve their dreams was my idea of a dream job. Seeing the look on someone’s face when I hand them the keys to their new home, or helping out a local charity make this a dream come true.”
