Wilk Bill to Allow Veterans Free Admission to State Parks Passes Committee

SACRAMENTO –Assemblyman Scott Wilk's, R-Santa Clarita, bill AB 240 which will allow recipients of special recognition military license plates free entrance to all California State Parks passed unanimously out of the Assembly Veteran Affairs Committee yesterday afternoon.

“This bill is a small way to honor our military heroes who have answered the call to protect our country's freedom and liberties and will forever thank them by allowing complimentary entry to our state's incredible park system,” Wilk said. “It's an honorable way to thank them for their service and sacrifice.”

AB 240 will allow recipients of Purple Heart, Pearl Harbor Survivor, Ex-Prisoner of War, Congressional Medal of Honor, Gold Star Family, and Legion of Valor license plates free entrance to all California State Parks every day.

Next, AB 240 will be heard in the Assembly Water, Parks and Wildlife Committee.
