Wilk Bill Honors Ronald Reagan

SACRAMENTO – Assemblyman Scott Wilk, R-Santa Clarita, presented Assembly Concurrent Resolution 12 which declares February 6, 2015 Ronald Reagan Day. Wilk was joined by 66 of his fellow Assembly Members who added on as co-authors.

“Ronald Reagan's life replicates the American experience and its potential for all those who work hard,” Wilk said. “President Reagan restored America's confidence by turning around the American economy. He believed in a government dedicated to providing opportunity for all and a personal faith to serve as inspiration to do better.”

President Reagan was born on February 6th and would have celebrated his 104th birthday this year. He was the 33rd Governor of California and the only California Governor to become President of the United States. The 38th Assembly District is home to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.

In closing Wilk stated, “Reagan was a nuanced leader, worked in a bi-partisan manner and was willing to 'give and take' on issues.' I ask my colleagues to join me in commemorating Ronald Reagan's legacy.”
