Wilk Honors Platinum Sports Center as Small Business of the Month

SACRAMENTO – Last Friday, Assemblyman Scott Wilk, R-Santa Clarita, honored Platinum Sports Center as the 38th Assembly District Small Business of the Month. The Small Business of the Month program is designed to highlight and honor small businesses in the community which hire local, give back to local non-profits and promote growth and investment in the community.

“What an honor it was to recognize such a well-deserved business who continues to do things the right way,” said Wilk. “Dorina and Tristian are extremely passionate about what they do and after speaking with children and parents, I know they truly give it their all. Their commitment to their students mixed with their contributions to the community made for an easy decision to recognize their business in the 38th Assembly District.”

Owners Dorina Timbal and Tristian Rodriguez opened for business in 2004 and have expanded their business to include elite level gymnastics equipment, an indoor Urban Park Fitness Course, exclusively designed Trampoline Park, a state-of-the-art audio and visual system and multiple separate viewing areas, among other amenities. The facility consists of over 30, 000 square feet of fun. Owners Dorina and Tristian have been active in Rotary, the Simi Valley Chamber, military events, special needs, homeless programs, Boys and Girls Club, elementary schools, as well as donating to various charitable organizations.

“We always listen to what our customers are saying,” Timbol said. “I believe as a business you have to evolve, and we decided to make the center to get families together in one big place.” Dorina's philosophy is simple: “If you speak from the heart, you speak truth.”
