Wilk Introduces Bill to Allow Veterans Free Admission to State Parks

SACRAMENTO – Today Assemblyman Scott Wilk, R-Santa Clarita, introduced AB 240 which will allow recipients of special recognition military license plates eligible for free entrance to all California State Parks every day.

“All Americans owe a debt of gratitude to our military veterans. Our brave military service members have given all they have to preserve our liberties and freedoms, and their sacrifices should never be forgotten,” Wilk said. “AB 240 is a great way to honor our military heroes and encourage state park tourism while providing an economic benefit to the parks and surrounding communities.”

AB 240 will allow recipients of Purple Heart, Pearl Harbor Survivor, Ex-Prisoner of War, Congressional Medal of Honor, Gold Star Family, and Legion of Valor license plates eligible for free entrance to all California State Parks every day.
