Wilk Receives Perfect Score for Small Business Voting Record

SACRAMENTO –Assemblyman Scott Wilk, R-Santa Clarita, announced he received a 100% voting record from the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) for his efforts to protect and promote small business in 2015.

“Small businesses are and will continue to be the backbone of our state's economy,” Wilk said. “As small businesses make up 99.2% of business in California, it is imperative the Legislature do all we can to foster small business. I'm honored to have received this rating from NFIB, and I remain committed to fighting for small business in the Legislature.”

NFIB tracks the key legislative issues identified by their small business members every session. The NFIB voting record provides a critically important evaluation of a legislator's attitude toward small business based on votes taken in committee and on the floor. Some key issues the NFIB focuses on include taxes, healthcare, labor, regulatory reform, agriculture, energy, and the economy.

NFIB/CA State Executive Director Tom Scott commented, “Assemblyman Wilk's 100% NFIB rating is a reflection of his hard work fighting for small businesses every day in Sacramento. Between the multitudes of challenges facing small business, we thank Assemblyman Wilk for standing up against further burdens to job creation in California.”
