Wilk Selected for 2014 Emerging Leaders Program

SACRAMENTO – Assemblyman Scott Wilk, R-Santa Clarita, was selected to participate in the State Legislative Leaders Foundation's 2014 Emerging Leaders Program. This annual event is held at University of Virginia's Darden Graduate School of Business.

Wilk will join 44 other legislators from 40 states for the four day leadership program in July.

“It's an honor to be selected for this prestigious program,” Wilk said. “I'm looking forward to learning from my fellow lawmakers and developing my leadership skills to better serve my district and the state of California.”

The national program, sponsored by the non-profit, non-partisan State Legislative Leaders Foundation (SLLF) and the University Of Virginia Darden School Of Business, is designed to enhance the leadership potential and vision of policymakers judged to be potential future state leaders.

Through this unique program, it seeks to broaden their perspectives to enable participants to challenge the future in new and positive ways. A variety of presentations from leading political leaders will be combined with cutting-edge leadership concepts from world-renowned faculty. The participants themselves will be the center of an action-oriented process that will make a real difference for the future.
