Wilk's Veteran Bill Killed in Senate Appropriations Committee

SACRAMENTO –Assemblyman Scott Wilk's, R-Santa Clarita, bill AB 240 which would allow recipients of special recognition military license plates free entrance to all California State Parks was killed in Senate Appropriations Committee.

“Our country's war heroes deserve the highest praise and it's concerning to see the majority party spend excessive amounts of money on a bullet train to nowhere but they can't spare a few bucks for our countries most honorable war heroes? Allowing complimentary entry to our state's incredible park system is the least we can do to thank veterans and their family members for their service and sacrifice,” stated Wilk.

AB 240 would allow recipients of Purple Heart, Pearl Harbor Survivor, Ex-Prisoner of War, Congressional Medal of Honor, Gold Star Family, and Legion of Valor license plates free entrance to all California State Parks every day.
