Frida Evelinne Andrade Mejia & Senator Wilk are joined by representatives of the
Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and elected local officials to celebrate the award presentation
Senator Scott Wilk, representing the 21st Senate District, honored Andrade Mejia Agency as his Small Business of the Month. The business owner, Frida Evelinne Andrade Mejia was joined by community members, staff, family, and friends for Senator Wilk’s presentation of the award.
“Frida’s story is the epitome of living the American Dream. Her parents brought her to this country from Mexico with the hopes of a better life,” said Wilk. “She has not only capitalized on this opportunity, but she has also used her success to uplift others. She truly is a tireless public servant and her passion for supporting her community is an inspiration for all who know Frida.”
After serving in the U.S. Army Reserves and becoming a citizen, Frida applied the experience and skills she developed as a Farmers Insurance Business Consultant to open her own insurance agency in 2022. Dedicated to serving her customers, Frida’s charismatic and passionate leadership of Andrade Mejia Agency is felt throughout the community.
Far from just a small business owner, Frida also serves as the Director of the Antelope Valley Chambers of Commerce, the Director of Community Affairs for the JCI Antelope Valley chapter, and has organized contributions and fundraising events for many non-profits. Frida’s passion for serving her community continues to inspire all who know her.
“It’s an honor to receive this recognition specifically on Hispanic Heritage month because of where I came from, a little girl from Acapulco, MX., whose parents believed in a bigger dream, the American Dream.
"Our circumstances don’t limit us, only we limit ourselves,” said Frida. “I dedicate this to my mother, Karina Mejia Carmona, my father, Julio Cesar Andrade (May he rest in peace) and my little brother, Julio Cesar Andrade Jr. who inspires me to be a better role model every day.”
